^{Hahaha, I imagine a lot of my watchers are looking at this and thinking, "Wft?" So, let's get to the explanation, shall we?

First off, the characters are Crenen (left) and Demannu (right). Crenen comes from =Hikari-Collection's ever-awesome novel-series-in-progress Paradise?, which I recommend if you love humour mixed in with great fantasy. Anyway, Crenen is a pretty interesting guy who speaks purposefully in broken English and gives others fun nicknames. He's named Demannu Sarcastic Mouthy Brat (thus the SMB in the title) because really, she is. XD No! Demannu doesn't appear in the Paradise series 'cause she's my "character" if she could be called that. More I think of her this way: if I had Dissociative Identity Disorder (split persona disorder), she would be my other personality. XD

Continuing on, for the month of May, Hikari is hosting Geranie Fest (thus the GF in the title). What are geranie? Geranie are grape-like fruits that are entirely delicious, but have the same punch as alcohol. In Paradise? they are a coveted fruit because they are just so yummy. Demannu is therefore being mean and holding a bunch of geranie just out of Crenen's reach.

The rock, or rather boulder in this case, is also not random. Crenen, it seems, is good at finding nice flat rocks to plop his butt down on (wouldn't want to have to sit on the ground! That'd be baaaaad); unfortunately for him, Demannu has found a bigger one. And be damned if she doesn't rub it in his face. Trust me, if he tries to jump and catch that geranie, she is SO lifting it out of his reach.

Aaaand I think that's all you need to know to understand this. XD Now for the general stuff about this image.

I wanted to participate in Geranie Fest because, well, I just love the story, so fun times for sure! I hadn't any clue what I was going to do, but then as I was trying to fall asleep this popped into my brain. HAD to do it of course.

Went with a style that I refer to as "cartoon realism" because I like my realistic style, but I wanted a bit of cartooniness for humour's sake. It was easier to do Demannu's grin that way. And she would like for you all to note that while she may not have pointed teeth like Crenen, her grin can still be wicked.

And Crenen, you're hard to draw. =\ That's your revenge for this, isn't it?
