Place: Omg, fourth place?! Thanks so much! (I know I don't get anything for fourth, but still!!!!)
For *Kairi292's cover contest.
I know the criteria said for it to be done digitally, but I don't have any digital talent. I hope that this is acceptable; I think it's still clean and I think you can see it. |D Not sure what you meant by "choose 'letter' form the present when starting a new file." =\
This is really simple, but I like it. I've been arguing with myself about the white background because I like the plainness of it, but I'm not sure that it will quite go with the back cover that Kairi has done up already. If I were to choose a background colour though, I'd go with a soft brown or a brownish-red to match the back cover. I also think that a reddish would add nicely to the comic's theme of life challenges and struggles.
The pose isn't what I originally had in mind, but it's close. I used a reference for this pose, changing it slightly, but referenced nonetheless. I chose the howling pose because it's one of the most common symbols associated with wolves, and it's a means of communication. Her tail is raised because she's not giving up and has hope, so she's showing her confidence and dominance in that way.
The title is just done in my handwriting, so there's nothing special about that. I just wanted to show where I would place the title and the author name.
That's all I can think to say for now. I'll add later if I remember.

I know this is super late, but I love the idea here. So simple, yet it looks really cool and eye-catching. If you'd let me, I might borrow this sort of concept for one of my series' cover style.
